Bismillah ir Rehman ir Rahim

According to Dr Sharib:
"Al-Batin is the One Who is past human understanding. He is beyond
description."
To emulate such a name we are advised to perform good deeds in such a way
that they are hidden from the people. They should constitute a secret between
us and God, so that they may remain free from ostentation, hypocrisy, pride,
display, and public applause.
Appropriate recitation fills the heart with the love of Allah.

Some other references:
He is the First
And the Last,
The Evident
And the Hidden,
And He has full knowledge
Of all things.
Al-Ghazali refers to this name along with Az-Zahir (The Outwardly Manifest).
According to him the intensity of God's manifestations also conceal Him. He
says beautifully -
"So Praise be to Him who is concealed from His creatures by His light and
hidden from them by the intensity of His manifestations: He is the manifest One
than whom there is none more manifest, as well as the hidden One than whom
there is none more hidden."
