According to Dr Sharib:

'Al-Fattah is the One through Whose favour and intercession every
trouble is removed and through Whose guidance every difficulty is
solved.'

To emulate the name he advises us to be ever in pursuit of knowledge in
such a way that we are able to solve problems that seem difficult to
others so that they come to us to solve their problems regarding
knowledge.

Appropriate recitation illuminates the heart with the light of faith, belief,
and guidance.

Al-Ghazali says: 'the Opener' is the One by Whose providence whatever
is closed is opened. He refers to this quote from the holy Qur'an (35:2).

'What Allah out of His Mercy
Doth bestow on mankind
None can withold:
What He doth withold,
None can grant,
Apart from Him:
And He is the Exalted
In Power, full of Wisdom.'

He counsels us to yearn to reach a point where the divine mysteries are
'opened by our speech' and where, by our knowledge, we may make
things clear to others which are not clear to them.
